About
Matthew G. Holmes is a Web designer, originally from central Massachusetts, who is currently residing in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in Economics. Before returning to Massachusetts, Matthew worked in Northern Virginia at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and was the lead designer on PBS.org.
Matt is a Web standards evangelist and CSS guru. He designs and develops Web sites on an Apple Powerbook using Photoshop, Illustrator, CSS, and XHTML while following the rules of Web accessibility. He enjoys developing sites for Web standards compliant browsers such as Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, and Konqueror. He absolutely hates Microsoft Internet Explorer (at any version number) but understands he has to develop (hack) for this broken Web browser until people stop using it.
In his free time, Matthew likes to cook good food, drink great beer (anything Belgian), watch the Red Sox and New Engand Patriots, and enjoy life with his wife, Kate.
